San Francisco, CA. July 4th Celebration at the Pier. Barges in the water launch the fireworks, you couldn’t ask for a better setting! San Diego, CA. Big Bay Boom. Despite its epic fail in 2012, where all 18 minutes of fireworks went off in 15 seconds (WOW can you imagine) this is a great show. The best place to watch is on the water. But the fireworks can be seen from various locations including Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Marina District, Seaport Village/South Embarcadero and Coronado Ferry Landing.
