It’s never boring in Houston, is it? But if you’re looking for something to do this week, check out some of these events!


Music. Who doesn’t love music? Whether you want to see the symphony or Justin Bieber or anything in between, there something for everyone this weekend. The Biebs is playing at Toyota Center on the 9th. Ravel’s Bolero is playing at the Houston Symphony the 8th through the 10th. You can also look forward to Bryan Adams, Live at Night (a free live music series held on Saturday evenings) or Islands, a celebration of island nations throughout the world.

Take me out to the ballgame. Let’s not forget our national pastime! It’s opening day on the 11th and the Astros are taking on the Kansas City Royals. Go root on your Astros, people!

Wine and art. If you’re feeling a little fancy, the Texas Wine and Art Festival is going on this weekend. Wine! And Art! It’s in Historic Old Town in Spring, TX, you should really check it out.

Cars and parades. This weekend is also the Annual Art Car Parade. More than 250 motoriffic cars will be on parade this weekend. Don’t miss it! And for those of you car buffs out there, the Art Deco Automobile and Motorcycles display is going on at the Museum of Fine Arts until May 30th.

Skydiving. Um no. But for all you daredevils out there, check out the Blue Skies Skydiving Center on Crystal beach. It’s recurring every Saturday and Sunday. With breathtaking views of the ocean, their experienced pilots and tandem instructors will take you on an adventure of a lifetime!


You’re definitely not going to be bored this week. Get out there and DO something!
